Starting the New Year, with a New Mindset

Many of us make what is traditionally called a new year’s pledge.  It may be to try something new and exciting, or to kick start the year with a positive plan for good health – after all your health really is your wealth!

It is important to understand what does “good health” mean to you?

Many individuals set themselves up with a plan to hit the gym, walk daily, check in on their diet and calorie intake.  Others do this and add mind work e.g. meditation to their health and wellness plan – I personally believe both the mind and body must be maintained with a wellness plan.

It may be that you choose to wake up and hour earlier, go for a walk or visit the gym.  This is a great plan for your body, but what about “the mind”, what are you doing for that part of you?

Do you know what mediation is?

Are you confused by the word and the meaning?

What does meditation really mean? – meditation is allowing the mind to simply be, with no chatter or interference so that your mind and body can go into a state of homeostasis.

I personally believe that you must communicate with your inner-self daily – this can be as simple as going for a walk and taking in nature without interference. …………e.g. your phone, standing on the grass or having your feet in the ocean to fill your cells up with the earths energy.

It is our unconscious mind that functions our body, we do not actually command our body to digest or eliminate food, nor to heal a scratch or bruise.  Our body has an innate intelligence, a network that can be tapped into for maximum health.

Every single day, we eliminate millions of cells and replace them.  The question we need to understand is why does our body sometimes not replace good cells with good cells but rather replaces them with faulty cells?

This is a question that has been debated since Socrates.
